This postcard was one of my very first design projects. Needless to say, it is dated. It was sent out to Hollywood actors and directors rumored to have upcoming projects in the Minneapolis area. The list included Sean Penn, Jack Nicholson, and Tim Allen to name a few. Now, for some reason, I assume Jack doesn't open his own mail. I still pictured him ripping into the envelope. Taking a quick gander at the postcard before tossing it in the trash as he dances a little jig out the door with a devilish smile.
The annual reports meeting was also a French wine and hors d'oeuvres tasting event. With that in mind, I created "Merci mille folis" translated: a thousand times, thank you! From cover to cover it showcased my layout, design and illustration skills.
This luncheon program was a fundraising event for the Women's Fund. Their mission was to provide ideas, energy, and resources so that girls and women are empowered to achieve economic, social and political equality.
